My love of photography began in a high school darkroom photography class. I absolutely fell in love with the ability of a camera to freeze moments and emotions in time. I went on to shoot for my high school year book. I studied photography techniques and processes over the years and received a Bachelors of Art from BYU-Hawaii. My philosophy in life has been that life is too short to be stuck doing something you don’t love. So, after years of photographing people and events, I went out on a limb in 2005 and decided to officially start my own business.
I’m blessed to have live-in models (my 6 and 8 yr old boys!) who love to ham it up for photo shoots with mommy. My boys quickly learned that if we leave the house without my camera, we have to turn around! I truly believe that life is made of many seemingly insignificant moments that collide together to shape who we are…I love capturing and preserving those moments for others. Giving my clients pieces of art that will allow them to showcase their precious memoris for years to come is truly an honor and privalige.
I love capturing a mixture of candid moments and posed shots weather in the studio or on location. My attention to detail, fresh photojournalistic approach, and professional industry standard equipment and editing processes result in commercial looking, stunning display pieces for your home. I am a member of Professional Photographers of America and uphold a high standard. I only book one shoot per day in order to spend as much time necessary to capture the best shots for you so that you’ll always walk away with something you feel embodies your personality and memories.
